For over forty years the Jewish Federation of Greater Santa Barbara has cared for people in need here in our community, in Israel, and around the world. For those who are in crisis, or experiencing emotional or financial instability, we provide resources to help them meet their basic needs, and the tools to work towards self-sufficiency.

Because the future depends on the present, the Federation provides opportunities to strengthen Jewish identity, engage community members in the rich tapestry of Jewish life, and to connect with Israel. We nurture and sustain the Jewish community through various senior services, Jewish education, supporting Jewish day and overnight camping, and programs like PJ Library and Birthright Israel.

As an organization, the Jewish Federation fulfills the values of Tikkun Olam – the repair of the world – for Jews and non-Jews alike. We leverage the strength of the community to work for the greater good.
