This class will unpack the prevalent pop culture stereotype, examine customs and traditions (Mikvah, Taharat HaMishpacha), and see what the texts (Torah, Talmud, and Kabbalah) have to say about intimacy and the act itself.
Samantha Silverman has worked as a Jewish educator for over a decade. She currently works as a director of Camp Haverim. She received her BA in Jewish Studies and Hebrew Literature from UCLA and her MA in Religious Studies with an emphasis on Second Temple and Rabbinic Judaism from Yale.
